This thread will list all Countries/Regions on Silk Road and how many listings each one has with the option "Domestic Only" enabled, for more information on background on what countries are available see my thread Home Country Setting on Silk Road: http://dkn255hz262ypmii.onion/index.php?topic=171551.msg1239820 I will at first list every single Country/Region (244 in total) on Silk Road with its amount of listings, secondly I will compile a secondary list with only those Countries/Regions who had any listings at all and finally a list with percentages at the end. :)

So from the original 244 options there's only 47 who actually has any listings at all, that means only 18,8524 % of all Countries/Regions has any presence at all on Silk Road currently. Now I understand why there is such a system in place but I'm beginning to think it doesn't really fill its purpose to its fullest extent. To demonstrate my point the clearest on this take the region "Wake Island", now technically its currently recognized under an updated definition: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Minor_Outlying_Islands but setting that aside temporarily for the sake of argument; Why would anyone ever set their Home Country Setting to Wake Islands? In the event someone actually did start shipping drugs out of this region this there would be a massive American military presence which wouldn't need much time to find whoever is doing this as its not exactly a big area to search. My suggestion would be to delete all Regions with 0 listings and only re-add them the moment a new vendor registers for that specific Region.
For a third list, sorted by amount of listings: ( Note: All Regions combined without undeclared gives the figure 12462, so I'm basing percentage off that instead of undeclared )

This is quite an effort.
However, I think you counted each listing twice. Your numbers for the countries with at least one listing add up to 22902. I did a quick count just now and got 11971. Adjusting for the fact that the numbers change continuously, that's roughly double. I'm also not sure how you'd get 16000 listings for undeclared when there 11900 total.
Still, assuming all the numbers are roughly double, the percentages should be accurate, and other than NL and CN being disproportionately source countries, they seem to agree with the general representation of countries in the community.

I double checked the numbers now and they still add up to 12462 to me, I pasted each line into an Excel-document and just made a formula which adds the cells together to reach that number. If I would have added the undeclared number into the mix I would end up with 28979. It could be your reacting to the fact I listed them three times in different forms? You're right though in that anyone checking these numbers for themselves right now will get inaccurate results compared to me as listings are removed/added constantly. :)

I lolled about Netherlands 1093 and we only have like 16 million inhabitants.
For such a small country we are really big in serving the world. ;D
i feel so blessed that i don't have to worry about CD and PGP stuff. ;D
last year over here a guy was caught with 70kg marihuana, 3kg coke 10 kg speed.
Guess what the sentence of the court was?
He got convicted to serve 8 months in jail.

Undeclared has 17066 listings in total while all the other combined is 13430, that means 27.07 % of all listings on Silk Road are listed as "undeclared"
Before I refine further I've noticed there's some bogus listings which don't really fill any Region specific purpose. I don't mind these in themselves but for this thread these listings are no good if its a listing for a Region which has no other listings, so I'll be removing them for the next refinement. The following Regions/Listings will be removed:

It looks roughly the same as the last listing with three noteworthy exceptions. India and Spain have fallen considerably while Hungary has increased quite a bit compared to roughly one month ago. I would also add there doesn't seem much to be any reason to go through every single region as new ones aren't exactly popping up, so anyone wanting to do anything similar in the future should just stick with the established top 40 Regions mentioned in this post. :)
